Rannoch Estate Sporting Holidays in Scotland
The 20,000 acre estate surrounds the Scottish home of Lord and Lady Pearson of Rannoch. It provides first class stalking and hind shooting, with about 70 stags and 80 hinds being shot each year. Grouse are shot over pointers. The estate can also provide exceptional trout and pike fishing. There is a tennis court.
The estate lies in one of the most beautiful, secluded, but easily accessible parts of the Highlands. Situated around the west end of Loch Rannoch, Perthshire, it can be reached for breakfast by overnight sleeper train from London, or by road one hour west of Pitlochry on the A9 and the B8019 to Tummel Bridge and then onward to Bridge of Gaur along either the north or the south shore of Loch Rannoch
Travelling by car the longer and more scenic route is to take the A82 along the shores of Loch Lomond north out of Glasgow to Crianlarich and then follow the A85 and A827 pausing to view the Falls of Dochart before taking the road across the Schiehallion mountain and along the south shore of Loch Rannoch to arrive in Bridge of Gaur.
